Much like other spaces, beer is a man’s world. Walking through the aisles of a grocery store, stepping past shelves and rows of pale ales and porters, it’s immediately evident when a beverage’s target market is not men.
As someone who enjoys pale ales and porters, I wanted to create attractive packaging for bottles and carriers that would stand out on the shelf. Curious Case brings a refreshing perspective to beer packaging with a bright color palette detailed, hand-drawn graphics and lettering without pandering to a knowledgeable demographic who know what they want.

PACKAGING

As a self-initiated project, I indulged in my love for typography when carefully choosing the names of the beers, which are actually purchased and rebottled (obviously not for sale.) I chose Yuengling from Pennsylvania to represent where I’m from. Guinness is from Dublin, which is where I’d rather be. The carrier rounds off with Daredevil Lift Off (one for you) and Left Hand Brewing Co. Milk stout (one from me).
I also had a little fun using a simpler version of the independent brewers association label. The only good upside-down bottle is the empty one you just finished.
